ASE Group is a boutique CPA firm in Northern NJ, and we provide full-service accounting & tax solutions to small business owners in the NJ/NY/CT/PA area. We help business owners create strong and sustainable businesses by making the dollars make sense. Our firm is growing and we are currently seeking a Accounting + Advisory Support person. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to join a young dynamic team with great growth potential.


Candidates will be exposed to clients in various industries. Our clients typically live and/or work in NJ/NY/CT/PA, have a mix of self-employment income, capital gains/losses and/or rental property activity, and seek year-round advisory support. The candidate must have a “roll up your sleeves” attitude, be detail- oriented, and be able to effectively prioritize to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. BOOKKEEPING VIA QUICKBOOKS ONLINE

    1. Be the 1st point of contact for all incoming emails pertaining to bookkeeping.


    2. Manage inboxes that are specific to bookkeeping clients.

    3. Collect W9s, input and pay bills for some clients

    4. Issue invoices and communicate with partners on behalf of some clients.

    5. Reply to clients' emails within 1 business day.

    6. Manage internal timelines and deadlines.

  2. PREPARE FINANCIAL REPORTS

    1. Prepare monthly financial reports within QuickBooks Online.

    2. Ensure monthly/quarterly review meetings for clients are scheduled.

  3. AUTOMATE & SYSTEMATIZE 

    1. Create and maintain client-specific SOPs to ensure they remain current.

    2. Be familiar with all of the software we use (training is provided on software).

    3. Identify recurring tasks and ways to automate them.

You May Be the Right Fit If:

You take pride in being a trusted advisor to clients, enjoy being a key player on the team, research matters independently to suggest solutions and have extreme attention to detail. You are organized, goal-oriented and are used to juggling multiple priorities and projects.

  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in QuickBooks Online, strongly preferred


  • People oriented, friendly and appreciating multicultural environments

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team-Attention to detail with tenacious research skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality



Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping

  • QuickBooks Online Certified Pro Advisor

  • Develop your own internal deadlines based on when client deliverables are due.

  • Connect with other members of the internal team and clients, and communicate across all channels with ease.
